Oh boy, that’s a lot of “swags” in there for one title. In my defense, I realize that a handful of my fellow planeteers could use a bit of style in their lives. Enter the SwagCycle. It is one of the latest, most ridiculous looking electric bicycles to date. But who said that ridiculous doesn’t have to be savvy and stylish? That’s why, I am doing my part to spread awareness about this inventive two wheeler. This baby’s got swag! Read on…
SwagCycle In a Nutshell
Think of the smallest rideable bicycle on the block. To some extent, you will look retarded whenever riding it, but it will be fun. The SwagCycle can go up to 20 Mph speed in no time. It can easily handle up to 224 Lbs. weight. Therefore, don’t let its small size fool you into believing otherwise.
Overall, I guess it is safe to say that going to office, running errands for mom (*even if you are a 30+ y/o grown up), twerking around the block, popping wheelies and sh*t will become quite easy to master. Existing SwagCycle users have nothing but glowing reviews about this wonderful product. Swagtron took the age old e-bicycle concept a bit further and notched it up with some new changes.
Take a look at some of the perks of SwagCycle appended below:
- Three different models of SwagCycle to choose from. It is highly recommended that you shop at the official SwagCycle Swagtron Website to avail complete list of features.
- Quick Charging: All thanks to a micro-usb port, you can charge the SwagCycle in about two hours. It is just like charging your cellphone.
- Foldable Design: SwagCycle can be folded up nice and easy in no time. The tension free joints give way to a completely folded and easy-to-carry package. Office and college going dudes can benefit in this regard.
- Tons of handlebar features and control options.
- Low maintenance, very easy to ride.
In case you didn’t know, Swagtron is an upcoming name in the industry. They did release a bunch of Electric Motorcycles earlier. The idea probably didn’t do well, but people have responded to the SwagCycle concept. The base price for these cycles is $399.99. It is not cheap, but not too expensive either. You will need to save a bit of money on the side to purchase this electric bicycle or an equivalent means of effective portable transport.
SwagCycle is powered via a 36 V Lithium Ion battery. It is Swagtron’s intention to minimize the battery size in and maximize overall performance with upcoming iterations of the product. Oh, I almost forgot about the heavy duty tires and SwagCycle’s IP54 grade water resistance. Basically, it means that you can ride this cycle anywhere; anytime – even if it is raining or the weather is overall humid.
So, What’s the Setback with SwagCycle?
Like all good things, SwagCycle also has a little caveat in the armor. This is an electric bicycle without any pedals. From exercise and workout point of view, you are damn out of luck. There are no health benefits to riding this cycle in my opinion.
Swagtron could have added a pedal based battery charging mechanism besides the USB option. Imagine that you are in the middle of the road and the SwagCycle is choking up on its last breath of charge. Ideally, you just start peddling to your destination.
Not only will this help you to get your muscles flexing in a sexy/ awkward pose, but it will also allow the battery to charge on each successful rotation. That sounds great, doesn’t it? Sadly, this isn’t the case. You have to rely on the battery powered system to go from point A to point B.
