Russian Submarine Launching Cruise Missiles At ISIS
Want to see a Russian Submarine Launching Cruise Missiles At ISIS? For the first time Russia has launched Kalibr land-attack cruise missiles from a submarine at ISIS targets in Syria. The 3M-54 Kalibr missiles were launched from Russia’s Kilo class diesel electric submarine named “Rostov-on-Don”. Back in November Russian warships that are floating around the Mediterranean Sea had launched very similar missiles at ISIS in Syria, but this is the first time a Russian submarine has launched.
“[The missiles] targeted two major terrorist positions in the territory of Raqqa”
“We can say with absolute confidence that significant damage has been inflicted upon ammunition warehouses and a mine production plant, as well as the oil infrastructure.”
In the last three days Russian Air Forces have carried out over 300 missions, hitting approx 600 ISIS targets.
“In the past three days, the operation involved Tu-22 planes as well as warplanes from the Khmeimim airbase. In total we carried out 300 sorties and hit 600 various targets,”
“Massive launch of the Kalibr sea-based missiles was effectuated by the Rostov-on-Don submarine. It resulted in elimination of two important ISIS command centres in the Raqqah province. For the first time from a submerged position made the group launched cruise missile of sea basing “Calibre” submarine “Rostov-on-Don.” As a result, it destroyed two important command posts of the terrorist organization in the province of Raqqa LIH.”
