This is actually a pretty epic stop motion of a woodworker building a segmented bowl with walnut and maple.
This has to be one of the most oddly satisfying and relaxing videos I have ever seen. Woodworker Frank Howarth made this epic stop motion video of him in his wood shop building a segmented bowl out of walnut and maple. After this check out this guy turning an old wrench into a pretty great knife.
This is a wood turned segmented bowl made from walnut and maple. Then I built the form of the bowl from rings each made up of 12 segments. After that I then cut cloud forms into the bowl with my CNC router. Finally I glued overlapping maple clouds into those holes. The clouds were also cut on the CNC router. This bowl is being given as a wedding gift.
